Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of unclaimedsite.com and the UnclaimedSite service, operated by UnclaimedSite ("we", "us"). By using the site or claiming a website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or the service.

The service

UnclaimedSite builds finished websites for local businesses from publicly available information, before contacting the business. When you claim your site, you subscribe to Hosting & Care: we host your site, keep it live and make care edits — like updates to hours, text and photos — that you request through our change form.

Free trial

Your first 30 days are free, starting the day you claim your site. A payment card is required to start the trial, but you are not charged during it. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing.

Price and billing

After the free trial, Hosting & Care is $50 per month. Billing starts on day 31 and repeats each month until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe using the card you enter at checkout. Before any price change, we'll email you, and you can cancel before it applies.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime — there is no lock-in and no long-term contract. To cancel, email [email protected] from the address you used to claim your site. Cancelling stops future charges. Your site stays live until the end of the period you've already paid for, after which we may take it offline.

Refunds

We don't give refunds, except for mistaken charges. If you were charged by mistake — for example, after you cancelled — email [email protected] and we'll refund that charge.

Changes beyond care edits

Care edits are included in your plan. Some larger changes carry a flat fee. We always quote the price and get your confirmation by email before doing that work or billing for it. Nothing is ever billed from the change form itself.

Unclaimed demo sites

If we built a demo site for your business and it hasn't been claimed, email [email protected] and we'll take it down on request.

Your content

Your business name, logo, photos and the text and information you provide remain yours. You give us permission to use them to build, host and display your website while your subscription is active. Please make sure what you send us is accurate and that you have the right to use it. If something on your site is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the site or the service: no submitting false or someone else's information, spam, attempts to break or overload the site or its forms, or automated scraping that harms its operation. We may suspend a site that is used for unlawful or harmful content.

Disclaimer

The site and the service are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the service will always be available or error-free, or that your website will bring a specific number of customers or results.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnclaimedSite will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of the site or the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these terms, the site or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Indiana, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the effective date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
